Game #1 out of the way…

Well, Game #1 is out of the way, and we were on the right end of a 5-3 victory over Guelph City Mazda last night. We have a great bunch of players, and hopefully as we play together more, we’ll continue to get stronger. It was a great time, too, which to me is most important. It felt great to be back on the ice! I am feeling it a bit today (stiff) but it was worth it!

The Leafs, however, were on the other end of their season opener last night against the Habs…just over 12 seconds left in overtime and Josh Gorges smacks in the winner. Oh well, it is only the first game, and the Leafs did completely outshoot the Canadiens and generally outplayed them (nice to see Stajan get two goals to start of the season right).

I’m on my way up to The Grand Georgian at Blue Mountain this afternoon. Every year around this time, SYNNEX holds our annual sales conference. All of our reps from across the country come in for a weekend of training, team-building and mingling with our key vendor partners. Tonight is our vendor pavilion, where we will showcase 50+ of our vendors’ products. It’ll be a late night, with a long drive home after, but well worth it for future sales potential!
